Erasmus Project Day for Parents was held in Croatian school on 31st January throughout the afternoon. The programme included workshops (The Amount of Sugar in Drinks, Memory Game with Food and Human Organs, interactive workshops with parents making healthy breakfast), students preparing their version of healthy breakfast which was prepared by them and presented for the parents, PPT presentation with questions and answers for the parents and general degustation of food for all teachers.
Why is healthy food important for our bodies? What similarities are there to the nutrients and our organs? What's the amount of sugar in industrially-made juices and other drinks? These are some of the questions that little bears and bees answered to. You wander what's this about? Littel Bears and Little Bees are two kindergarten groups that warmly welcomed our students, participants in Erasmus+ plus project (BREWISE - Healthies breakfast for wiser minds). The students led two workshops adapted to the kindergarten children. The Little Bears group did the activities in the workshops "Food and Human Body" and the Little Bees participated in the workshop "Sugar in Industrially-made Juices and Other Drinks". The workshops were introduced with the picture presentations and other materials so that everything is clear about the workshop. Then the kids were divided into groups and they took part in memory game, already highly motivated and curious. Memory showed the connection between a human organ and food. Meanwhile, The Little Bees, had to use the paper sugar cubes and figure out the amount of sugar in industrially-made juices, joghurts and other drinks. They were all very successful and did a great job! Finally they did some drawings to show what they learned, too! We wish to thank the Kindergarten Viškovo for the welcoming and participating gestures and commend the children for their curiosity and hard work! I hope we will get the chance to reapeat the experience!
